A basket made by Marlys Sowers.

Pinicon Farm Crafts began in 1985, after Marlys took her first basket weaving class. She is now making Nantucket style, willow, pine needle, and reed baskets, many of which are one of a kind. Jeff makes coopered vessels, shaker boxes, and molds, bases, rims and lids out of various woods for the baskets. In addition to making baskets and woodworking, Marlys and Jeff also teach classes. Marlys teaches classes at many conventions and special invitations throughout the U.S., and also at their shop. Jeff teaches classes for shaker boxes and trugs at convention and at their shop. Marlys and Jeff’s children and grandchildren also play an important part in their small business. They help maintain their small Christmas tree farm, havest willow, make baskets and assist during demonstrations. If you are interested in any of the baskets, boxes, molds or classes, please contact us by phone or email.
